As per manual I browse the apps store on my I pad, find the app I want, click on "free" (for BBC i PLAYER), but I cannot see where the icon "buy now" is. What am I doing wrong? Help please.

Click on free, then a larger box should appear in the centre of your screen. Click in free again and it will change to install, click on that and enter your details.
When you click on "free" it should the say "install"
You do have an Apple account don't you?
If you have pressed the "free" icon it should then change to "install app" and it will install it onto your iPad as long as you are connected via wifi. Some apps are large and you have to install those onto your iTunes on your laptop and then sync your iPad

Have you an Apple ID, you'll need one before you can download an app. I usually tap app that I want, tap install, it then prompt me for my password, then it installs itself.
