Microsoft Word Starter
Having something of a crash course in computers today (see my other post a few entries down)
my friend has her C.V. on desktop and has been trying to open it but when she tries she gets the message
" Microsoft Word Starter cannot be open. Try again or repair the product in Control Panel."
As you will see from my earlier post we are both thick as sh** when it comes to computers. Can anyone tell us what to do (in detail please) to remedy this?
She needs to email her C.V urgently.
(using window7 if thats any help)
Many thanks

- Goto 'Windows Start>All Programs>Accessories>
- Select 'Word Pad'
- In 'Word Pad' select small down arrow in the top left hand corner, then select 'Open'
- Navigate to where the file is stored, which is most likely in 'Desktop' which is listed in the Favourites section of the 'Open' browse window.
Note that 'Word Pad' may not retain the same document formatting as the original but it should be viewable ok.
