My new camera has all the information I need on a CD. It says it is compatible with Windows XP but when I insert the CD it makes all the right noises for a few seconds but nothing happens. I managed to install the first CD by using "add programmes" from the Control Panel but that won't work with the second CD. Unfortunately this is the CD that explains how to transfer photos from the camera to the computer, so it is really necessary.
Help please.

Have you tried using the Windows File manager / explorer to search the CD, assuming it actually recognises it in the drive.

i.e. 'Windows Start>Computer'

You may then be able to browse on the CD to a Documentation Directory where the manuals are stored and then try to open them up for reading. If they are in .PDF file extension format you will require Adobe Reader which is available at:

Just tried that, the only problem is that they are all in a foreign language. Apparently you have to choose language and operating system when it first fires up - and it won't.
Check if there is an English version available from the manufacturers support web site or maybe an updated CD installation.
