I have just completed a full scan by Malawarebyt and they have removevd 18 items called PUP>25apps. Can someone please tell me what they are and how can I stop them appearing again. I am not very good on computers and would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance

A search round the web seems to indicate PUP is Potentially Unwanted Programs.

So malwarebytes found some programs that it thought were unwanted by you, possibly malware or spyware.

Without more details we dont know what these PUPs were.

Your malwarebytes log may give more info if you can find it and post the program names here

Thank you VHG. Unfortunately I have deleted this but I will try and get it back and will let you know tomorrow

They are usually defaulted to 'not ticked'. I never know what it's moaning about either. Either something is a danger or not. i tend to leave them until I get fed up of the warnings and then get rid of them just to get some peace.

Most of the other items are just slightly different. Hope this makes sense to you. I have no idea what they are.
