Sending Audio Clips Via E-Mail
3 Answers
I do not know anything about computers, I wanted to send an "Audio Clip" to a friend of mine, when I went into the send to email recipient this came up on my computer 'There is no program associated to perform the request action, please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel'
Nowthen, how do I install an email program, how do I create an association in the default programs control panel.
As I have said earlier I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING REGARDING COMPUTERS.
Could some kind person help me.

If so, first make a note of the location (folder names) and the file name of your audio file.
Now go into your normal email program and select to begin a new email.
Now select the option to add an attachment (this is often shown as a paperclip icon).
Now navigate to where the audio file is located and select it.
This will take you back to the blank email where the audio file should be attached.
Write your email text, and email address and then send the email.

The 'Send to' option is designed to open an email client, such as Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail, with a new email created (and with the file that you're trying to send already attached to it). That's fine if you actually use an email client but many people now use web-based email services instead.
I'm guessing that you use 'webmail' and send your email through your computer's web browser (such as Internet Explorer); in which case the 'Send to' option won't work for you.
The following will work with BOTH email clients AND with webmail:
Make sure that you know where the audio file is located on your computer. Create a new email in just the same way that you'd do if you were simply sending text. Look for a button labelled 'Attachments', 'Attach', 'Attach File' or something similar; click on it. Navigate to the location of your audio file and double-click on it. You should then see the file listed at the top of the email as an attachment. Send the email as usual.
