Possibly because when you go to the Print box you are not clicking on 'Print Selection' only?
as an alternative you could try highlighting, then Ctrl+c, then open up a Word document (or whatever you want to print out), then Ctrl+v, which should paste only what you want. Is that how you're doing it?
what are you pasting to ? Are you Windows ?

What about, highlight what you don't want and cut it, so you're left with just what you want to print. When you exit the email, it will ask you if you want to sve your changes. Just click No to preserve the email in it original state.

Thanks but would you kindly tell me what to click on to do this please? Thanks
Try highlighting the text in the email by dragging your cursor over it; right click on it and click 'copy'.
Then open Word and paste it in (right click and 'paste' is one way)
I'm not sure of the need to select File- do you want to insert the text into an existing document? If not, just open a new blank document and paste the text into that. You can then edit it as needed.
Open new word document..minimise page....highlight area you want wanton existing document click on cut at top... scissors icon.maximise New document place cursor where you wish and click on paste at top of page.a brush like icon..
