Samsung Tablets At Airport.

Flying from Heathrow tomorrow, shall I put my Samsung tablet in my case or in my hand luggage? Will the xray machines harm it?

Everyone puts them in thier hand luggage but you have to take all computery things out and put them separatelty through the scanner.

Put it in your hand luggage, I do, for safety. You will have to take it out of your bag to go through the machine. Mine has never come to any harm.

I'd be lost without mine. I put films on to watch on the flight. In preparation for the hols I save info from websites I've looked at previously for off line reading. Being non drivers bus timetables are useful. Also restaurant recommendations ect.
Have a brill time. The camera and video are excellent on the tablet too.

Yes, Yorky that's why I'm taking it. Mine takes brilliant photos except I don't know how to zoom in. Still playing around with it.

To zoom just put your finger and thumb on the screen and spread them apart ( there's probably a technical term for this). I think the zoom for the camera is excellent but not for the video. I think it blurs. I always video without any zoom and the results are brilliant.
After videoing may I suggest you immediately rename the video title. It helps remembering what it is. Much better than the long number Samsung give it. They all look the same and you can't always tell what the small thumbnail is. Took me ages to realise this and it is so much better.
To rename open Gallery and touch the video, then touch the three lines logo on the top right. You can select rename there.

Pleased to help. I just wish I'd known about renaming the videos. It is so much easier looking for the name of the place you filmed it, or whatever you call it, rather than squinting at the thumbnail.
