Suddenly yesterday my router was undetected on my pc.
However it works fine with my laptop.

It's a Zoom X6 ADSL router
Series 1058
Model 5590C

The pc keeps saying it does not detect any hardware.
I've tried everything I can think of .
Could some clever person please give me some advice?

Some more information might help here:

How is the connection made? Is it by an ethernet cable or via WiFi? If it's WiFi, is the router's SSID shown among the available connections (and are the SSIDs of your neighbour's routers showing up?)

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you.
Connection is with an Ethernet cable.
Try a different ethernet cable; try a different port on the router; if the ethernet connection to the PC is via a pci card, check that it has not become lose from the motherboard. Normally at the ethernet connection to the PC there will be two LEDs (with the cable connected, one should be permanently on, the other flashing when data is transmitted).
Pull the ethernet cable out and plug it back in to both ends, i.e. both the PC end and the router end.

Thanks both.
I'll have another go tomorrow.

Tried everything you all suggested with no luck.
Finally did a system restore and that solved the problem.
Phew!
