Avast Blocking My External Hard Drive

My Avast demanded to be updated yesterday, so I did. Now when I plug my external hard drive in (a little Maxell portable) nothing comes up and I can't back things up. I assume these two events are connected as there was no trouble till today.

Is there any way to tell Avast to permit it? Or of restoring the earlier Avast? (Though I assume the latter would be risky.)

(Please don't advise installing MSE instead as I had the same trouble with it in the past; that's why I installed Avast in the first place.)

Morning all. Yes feeling much better today. Its still stifling hot. No shaney we very rarely watch Spanish TV as I couldn't tune it in for 8 months so got out of the habit. I watch it more in winter.
Yes it is worrying about Robi unless she's done a flounce without filling in the flounce form!
Hija's has a new job starting on Tuesday. Its a new "posh" hotel just opened up. Called the Ibiza One Suites. At least it cuts down her travelling in my poor car by half!! Car is due to go to garage tomorrow to get its crashed backside sorted! Fingers crossed but don't hold your breath!

I went to a country town today ... looks like things are bad there, the Poundland had everything reduced to 90p, and the 99p shop had everything down to 80p. Or maybe it's just the sale season.

Good morning. Well I was up at 7.30 to change hija's bed as she was due tontake car in garage and then back to sleep as she works til about 2am. But she hasn't appeared. I am annoyed as need the car mended! Won't answer phone!! I guess she is sleeping. Still staying in and taking it easy.

Good morning all, here I is, I'm back. Hope you're all ok, I haven't caught up yet.
So sorry you were worried, I just decided to have a break. Then I wasn't well for a fortnight, a virus on top of the algia, felt lousy and all I wanted to do was sleep. I'm still not 100% but then I never really am. :) Sis & her OH came yesterday to do some overdue jobs in the garden so I'm krackered today but it does look lovely. Shame it's wet ...again...the weather's driven me mad lately.

So, what's been happening? I haven't so much as peeped around the door. Is neti the new Ed? Any new handbags hidden away? What's everyone been having for dinner? No, forget that last one :)

btw, I managed to lose my yahoo mail but it's been retrieved now so if I owe you a reply I'll be onto it shortly.

What's been happening?
I think Neti cleaned out Primark and bought numerous handbags.
I haven't bought any handbags but did buy a jacket from M&S.
Jno has cleaned out the pound shops .
Dinner is the same old things on different days.I'm just eating a chs & tom bap.I might open a tin of sdns later :)
The weather is crip.
I think that's all the news atm.

I bought 3 handbags in UK. Lots of £ stuff.
Still doing nothing but laying on bed in cool bedroom. Just eating fruits And shakes but I have a craving for eggs and cheese. Miss my sisters. Miss UK.

Just been to the outlet mall and got some nice shoes reasonably quickly and reasonably cheaply - last time it took an hour and I tried on every shoe in the place. The new ones have an S on the side (Skechers, not Small) but are otherwise okay for wearing to the Palace.

Somehow I have become size 9, but I think that must be American.

jno jnr has finally got the big job offer he has been waiting for. There's one small problem, a non-compete clause in his current contract, which sounds like a big problem to me, as that's pretty much what he'll be doing. However, I'll leave him to do hs own fretting, as I don't understand British business practice.
