I`ve got a windows 7 desktop PC, im now getting a stop error message, as follows, A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you`ve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer, if this screen appears again, follow these steps;
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

You should have a minimum of 4GB of RAM installed for Windows 7 but if you have Windows 64 bit 8 would be better. A repair of your Start up via Safe Mode may fix it but it has memory issue
Press F8 during the boot-up process and access Safe Mode (as per the instructions you've quoted).
Assuming that you can get into Safe Mode, go to System Restore (from Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools) and restore the registry to a date before the problem first arose.
Hi guys, thanks for your answers, but this problem does`nt let me do anything, when I press F8 it does have the list of options but when I click run in safe mode the error message just keeps reappearing. I haven't added anything recently, I cant even get as far as system restore. I think im gonna have to go to PC World.
