It would be interesting to know what you paid for that disk. Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 costs £78.15 if downloaded directly from Adobe or £61.60 on a disk from Amazon. It suggests that you get the first 30-days free, then you have to pay for it if you want to keep using it - did you buy from a reputable buyer? if so, go back to them and check.

However if you paid the full price then your problem suggests that you've not validated the serial number (by launching the Editor, clicking on 'Licence Product' and entering the serial number).
If your copy is legitimate, there should be a license key somewhere on the dic or packaging.
Just register and enter that number when prompted.

Amazon £61 BTW I had Elements 11 and had a problem inasmuch i could not run it and not able to update it so i shelled out on 12 I have been running it for about 3 months now Do you think my PC is at fault I am stumped
>>>Do you think my PC is at fault

No, I still think that you've not validated the product by entering the licence key!
You should have a serial number printed somewhere in the packaging (such as on the paper disk sleeve - can't remember where it was on mine). It is 6 groups of 4 digits.

Here are the instructions for installing the software http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/getting-started/install-pse.html - if you don't enter the serial number at the start it runs as the trial version but you can enter that number at a later date so give it a try now.

Thx Don't know about trial message because as i said i bought a genuine Elements 12 disc and this has not happened until recently over 2 months from purchase so it is still asking for sign in to continue trial.
BTW about the slow-ness and shut down nonsense i mentioned I am being told that my PC is not man enough for all i want on it. This will be sorted.
