Hiya Tilly, Good idea - although (I might be wrong) don't you have to give the person who you want to allow access to your dropbox the password?
)When I used it at work for sharing CAD drawings I had to email the client with the password).
I'd be interested to see what other AB'ers say about this as I would sometimes like to share photos too depending on the topic :-)
Why not just upload them to tinypic and then paste the URL?
Question Author
I don't know what you have to do, peas. I just know that when I take photos using my tablet, they also go onto my laptop because the tablet and laptop are linked (somehow)
Is tinypics free Jeffa? (it's a new one to me) Would like to use it though if you say it's a good'un?
Question Author
Jeffa, can you tell me exactly what to do, please?
1) Go to http://tinypic.com/

2) Follow the instructions.
Cheers, and Thanks for the link
Question Author
Let me know how you get on please, peas.

Thank you, jeffa. That was really helpful.
Hey Tilly, If I've done this right, the following link should be a picture of my garden via TinyPic.. fingers crossed...:

http://tinypic.com/usermedia.php?uo=fNkd6hpTbcMVpM56GxFBOYh4l5k2TGxc#.UwpCQfl_vFA

It was really easy to sign-up/ use :-) and I've bookmarked it to go back to as and when

Well, I am impressed with your garden and your use of tinypics. Well done, peas.

So you have to sign in? It then has access to your computer?
Yep, just follow Jezza's link and press 'join now' in the top right corner, enter your email (i suppose you could use a throw away one if you wanted, but i used my own) make up a password, and enter your DOB and then you can upload any pictures you have on your laptop/ PC.
Click on 'choose file' and go to the picture you want to upload one by one (It doesn't suddenly upload all of the pictures you have on file or access your computer, it only uploads the pictures you want it too).
Then just use the URL as a link on AB as you would to a website normally. I am really impressed with it, have a go.
Unfortunately my garden looks a little shabby and leafless at the moment - that pic was from last summer - can't wait 'til spring! :-) xx
You don't have to join tinypic or give any details.
Question Author
Thank you, peas. That was a very clear explanation. I have used it before but I'd forgotten what to do. I'll have a go tomorrow.
Question Author
Just seen you there, Zacs. So you don't have to register and all that?
I'm pretty sure you can't use dropbox on here. Follow the instructions for tinypic that Jeffa's given, which lots of ABers use or photobucket (which I and lots of other ABers use!)
No just choose the file you want to upload and voila!
Dropbox requires you to invite people to view your photos via email so won't work on here.
Oops Sorry Tilly - I just followed the page and thought you had to register to use.
Perhaps try without registering then...?
Question Author
Thank you, Prudie and Zacs for answering my query about Dropbox.
