just tidying up my pc and noticed this in my programme's broadcom card reader, i'm on an acer laptop windows8 64 bit, do i need it and what does it do thx

It's the driver for your laptop's SD (or multi-purpose) card reader.

Is tidying up your computer 'displacement activity' so that you don't have to do something unpleasant? (Which reminds me, I really must empty the cats' litter trays!)

Kittens? I don't think that I've got kittens any more but, by the sound of it, I have got a herd of elephants charging around in the bedroom instead!

They're all well (and growing at a fantastic rate), thank you. The biggest one (Chequers) now weighs a full kilogram and the others aren't far behind. All four of them slept alongside me on my bed last night, which is really lovely but I was constantly aware of the fact that can suddenly burst into play at any moment or (as Chequers likes doing) creep under the duvet and tickle my toes ;-)
