Buying A Desktop Pc

I have a budget of £400-£500 to buy a new desktop(tower) PC. I will use it for home use, playing music (RealPlayer). I need a DVD Writer/re-writer, at least two USB ports. I will not need monitor or keyboard.

I'm thinking of getting one custom made by a specialist on-line builder and would like recommendations on the more technical aspects I should specify, ie, hard drive size/type, RAM size, etc. Also, I would prefer Windows 7 to Windows 8.

Any suggestions, please ? Or recommendations for an off-the-shelf machine that might suit.

I'd also stick with Windows 7. With such basic requirements there's very little point in specifying minimum requirements for the size of the hard drive, memory capacity, CPU speed, etc, as any modern PC should easily meet them.
