Backing Up Emails
14 Answers
I use outlook express for my emails and I am operating windows XP.
How can I quickly back up all of my numerous received and sent emails, and put them on a disc?
If I use the copy and paste method, it keeps asking me if I want to replace certain ones which happen to possess the same heading.
This I do not want to do, because although they may have the same heading, the content is different.

When I posted above ^^^, I had a feeling you might come back with the thousand dollar question.
It is very difficult to say because all depends upon the lengths of the e/mails,
not the actual number. However, having once read that 8GB is more than enough for 2000 songs, I feel it safe to say that 8GB would be more than enough to meet your requirements.
They are cheap enough to buy :-

It's such a long time since I last used Outlook Express. So much so that I have forgotten more than I can remember.
I am assuming sir.prize that you also are operating with Outlook Express, in which case, as I am struggling for an answer, perhaps the following link will be of some help. :-

Sir, I have a small program on my XP called OE Viewer which allows you to see and read your OE e-mails in DBX forrmat. Google for OE Viewer and you will see a FREE version from CNET.
When downloaded you can select the DBX folder which contains all related e-mails and then highlight one message and select "Message View" under FILE and you can then read the selected message.
Hope this helps.
