Windows Phone 8 Back-Up

Having spent a long time deleting unwanted telephone numbers and email addresses from my Lumia 625 Windows 8 phone I am loath to reconnect to my PC as the "People-Live" program already has all the original contacts stored. My question is this.......by reconnecting the phone, will the existing contacts /
numbers stored on the PC be put back to the phone (which I don't want) or will the existing contacts/numbers be erased from the PC and only the ones I require that are in the phone be stored. Thanks. Tel
