Hi there,....any advice most welcome please.
I have an HP DV6-2010SA, using Windows 7.
It is always used on a desk or table with a tripod which lifts the rear a couple of inches to allow air to circulate, but lately the fan is contantly whirring, + becoming quite hot to the touch.
I've looked on an HP Support Forum which mentions "changing power management settings", but I don't feel confident enough to attempt this.
Thanks for reading.

First trick is really simple..... take your vaccuum cleaner and put the nozzle close to the vents it'll suck all the muck and dust out... do put the hard against it lust enough to get some pressure. the Power management is straightforward, you just need to follow the steps

Thanks Slapshot, but I posted the link because one of the posts mentions that altering the power management settings caused them problems.
I debated with self over using vac, but then read that blowing rather than sucking was the answer.....using compressed air....?
It's all so confusing for this likkl ole laydee....;)
(btw,....hard? lust?...steady now...heheh....) x
In my experience blowing air in tend to just scatter dust, you are better gently trying to suck it out

Just!!! not lust..... what will Minty make of it all!!!!
