http400 Fault!

Hello
I have never had this on my laptop before. I try to go back a page and I get 'http 400, bad request' I then try to go back again and I usually eventually get the page but, if I have tried to send a message when I press 'send' I lose it.
This ONLY happens on my ebay pages and never on anything else on either my favorites or direct searches via Bing. Have tried removing the ebay favourite and going into it thru Bing - but the same happens as when I bring up ebay this way it still shows me as signed in anyway!
Have done a full scan on my laptop and defragged. I consider myself technically savvy with computers and can tackle most problems myself. Someone mentioned the registry but I am not touching that!!
Anyway the clue must be in ebay set-up as it is only ebay and I have made no changes to it for years.
Anyone help please?
Thank you

You are doing right in staying well away from the Registry. I an assuming that the scan which you have done is for viruses. Have you also done a scan with Malwarebytes .? Defragging is unlikely to help and is really unnecessary on modern day computers. If you haven't got Malwarebytes , then download the free edition from :- http://www.m alwarebytes. org/ Hans.

Hello Hans....
Thanks for that - I thought that my Kaspersky would cover me for Malware!
Have downloaded your link and scanned with it and it detected 59 malwares and ha quarantined them I think.
So I will look tomorrow and see if there is any improvement. There seem to have been a lot to do with Registry.
Thanks again. Will report back

@moggie 939......I shall look forward to a further posting from you.
We may Not have solved your problem, but, when you finally get shot of all quarantined items which you consider could be troublesome, you will know that you have a 'clean' computer.
Incidentally, I am pleased and thank you for having awarded to me 'Best Answer' but would wish you to realise that, if another ABer comes forward with perhaps something better, you can click their reply and give them the 'Best Answer'. I'll Not be offended in any way, because, 10 to 1, I will be learning something new.
Cheers....Hans.

Everything has really speeded up no doubt about that but.......it has made no difference to the ebay messaging problem!
Have asked for help on ebay discussion board, but it is difficult to get any answers from ebay themselves.
I know that IE10 has been experiencing all sorts of problems I never had with IE9 and maybe that's it although I have downloaded all the MS downloads shown.
Am loathe to leave and go to Foxfire as I am so used to IE

To test if IE 10 is causing the problem you could install another Browser and still retain Internet Explorer as your default. You can have as many Browsers as you like. I have four...Internet Explorer; SeaMonkey; Safari and my favourite Firefox.
I am aware from reports on the Internet that a lot of folk have failed to get-on with IE10 and have reverted to IE9.
