if you disable this hd graphics card 4000 what will happen please?

What's it fitted into? Is it the only graphics card fitted? Is your main cpu graphics capable?

Graphics Cards generally give you what you see on screen. No card, no see ☺☺☺

hi slack i downloaded 8.1 a month ago since then when i right click on something ie: desktop icon or just on desktop screen its taken 10-15 secs for it to open up on an icon
acer laptop 64bit firefox
was looking over internet for remedy one said disable hd graphics card 4000 well actually it worked if i right click wallop opens up in a second but i cant go on like that so enabled card, back to 10-15 delay before opening icon up any ideas?

Intel Graphics 4000 is built into the CPU it is not a separate graphics card.

If you turn it off I am not sure what graphics you are actually using if you have no other.

Try download the latest drivers for Intel Graphics 4000.

If it's built in as VHG states then a visit to Acer to get the drivers for W8.1 and install them is the way to go.
