Laptop Game Control

Hi All

I bought a games controller, (usb), to use on my laptop, (hp Pavillion), but it doesn't seem to work, I was hoping that someone might have an idea why?

Do you know the brand/make of the usb controller?

Which games are you trying to get it to work with?

Obvious question is which game controller?
Next question is, if your laptop is running Windows (which version would also be nice to know!) is the game controller Windows compatible?

Did you install the drivers from a CD?

I bought the usb controller from play.com, (china), no make, also the laptop runs on windows 8.

Hi - there's lots of different ways you might want this to work, and it does depend on what games you're trying to get the controller to work with. Many will allow you to do keymapping in the options. Steam may allow you to do it across Value games (or so I understand).

Or you could always use motion joy (I think that's what it's called)
