Due to my Asus Tablet having to be returned for repair and I am on holiday this week I bought a used Galaxy as above and have spent all day setting it up, All is ok and I have everything from my own tablet except I have one problem!

I charged it fully and when I switched it on the home page appeared and I swiped the screen to open it (as I did on my Asus tablet) - all ok.

I spent ages adjusting everything in settings BUT somewhere whilst doing this I have entered a screen password (which I never use on my other tablet) and now when I switch on the Galaxy, every time it now asks for a password! Luckily I guessed which password so managed to get in.

But I prefer to just swipe to open. I looked in settings (which are different to my previous Asus) and there is a 'lock screen' listed but when I open it it just asks me for the password! Is there any way I can remove the need for the password please? I can't find how to do it anywhere.

In simple terms please. Thanks so much

You have to enter the password before you can change the lock screen to the 'Swipe' option.
^ the same password you accidently keyed in previously.

Settings > Lock Screen > Screen Security > Screen lock > Swipe (I have the same tablet).
