Add Or Remove Programs

In my listing on "Add or remove Programs" i have several lines of "security updates of windows Internet explorer" I do not how they got there, they seem to have multiplied like steel coat hangers.
Is there any way i can get rid of them in bulk, or how did they get into my Program listing in the first place.
Hope someone has a answer. Thanks.

Why would you want to remove them?

They are installed as part of Windows update, if you remove them they will be picked up again by Windows Update.

Not a good idea to remove 'security' updates as they are there for a good reason. Sometimes removing updates without being fully aware of the consequences can even cause problems with the Windows O/S

IIRC you can tick to hide windows updates to clear the list a bit.
