I have the free version of this on my laptop running win7, the problem is that as soon as I boot up the computer this thing starts up and then when I close it within half an hour of whatever I am running it starts up again and again, I have tried looking in (msconfig.exe) start up but it is not there, I want to keep it on but just don't want it starting all the time, does anybody know how I can stop it doing this?

Malwarebytes 'free' only works on demand. Just wondered if you've agreed to a free trial of the full package?

You could un-install it, reboot your laptop, download the free one and install that making sure you opt out of the free trial and anything else.

You could always leave it on and when the free trial expires it will revert to the free version, with out all the bells and whistles.

When using msconfig, did you look under the services tab?

I am also inclined to think that you have agreed to a trial of the Premium edition.
