"computer" Not Working
31 Answers
Out of the blue (despite several re-starts) Start/computer seems to have seized up, especially when I try to read a card.
The page that contains all my drives including removable storage will not load, if I try (for example) to insert and read an SD card, I just get a grey ('loading'?) line moving across the top of the page and it just hangs. Usually when I insert a card it pops up on the screen automatically, not now.
Anyone know what that's all about?

Desktop - Athlon 2X4 640 processor 16GB RAM 3Ghz, Windows 7 64bit.
It works normally if a card is not inserted, I have tried two different (SD) cards btw and it behaves the same with both. Yes, both cards work normally in the device (digital camera).
Usually when I insert any card, autoplay kicks in and it offers me the option of opening folder to view files.
*Sigh* - right, just as suddenly as it stopped working, it has now started working again.
Must be my impatience Methyl - then again, it's normally ok - patient or otherwise.

I have ie but rarely use it. I use Firefox.
I built my own comp hence no make/model, that's why I could only provide type.
It normally performs seamlessly hence the desperate plea - it seems to be ok now but has been a bit cranky lately, I might have to save stuff and do a 'nuke and pave' job. I don't trust the (Maplins bought) card interface on the front, maybe a new one is the answer, it does get used a lot.
