Cannot Make Weindow Smaller
I am running windows 7.Not had this problem before but today find I cannot make a window smaller eg:if I want to see the desktop as well as the window I am looking at.
On going to do so,it dies a little "jump" but stays full screen.
I can with Chrome,no problem there.

Double-clicking the title bar or clicking the restore/maximize button (next to the close button) will toggle between full screen and the previously dragged size. If the window was previously dragged to fit the screen, then it is very difficult to tell. Place the cursor at the very top edge of the window. If it changes to up and down arrows, then the window is in the "restored down" mode and you can drag it to a different size. If that doesn't happen, the window is in maximized mode, in which case, double click the title bar to change the mode to "restored down". Now you will find that, when placed at the edges of the window, the cursor shape changes and you can drag the window to the required size.
