Problem With Firefox Running...
4 Answers
I have been unable to log on to firefox. For the last three hours I have had the message "Firefox is already running but is not responding.. Firefox must be closed to open a new window" there is a box which says 'close firefox' which I click on and the other says Cancel.
I've looked at the task manager to see if I know what to disable (ha!) as the problem seems to start as soon as I turn the laptop on, and Firefox seems to be the one running....although there a quite a lot of other programmes on there....There are 77 Processes, CPU usage is 51% Physical memory 46%. I have HP Vista laptop with Windows 8 also have Internet Explorer but can't use it much epecially with my BT account, although its OK to use for AB. Has anyone else had this problem.

I suspect it is due to firefox not closing correctly for some reason (with the task manager showing it using resources), I would estimate it to be around a 1 in 20 probability of this occurring after I have closed firefox – so not too annoying.
