Desktop Picture Has Disappeare.

I am using a Toshiba Sattelite Laptop with Windows 8.1, although I primarily use it in Windows 7 mode. A wee or so ago my desktop (not locked screen) picture disappeared. I have been into personalise but all it will allow me to do is change the colour of the screen but with no picture.
Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution? It is nothing I can't live without but obviously something is not working properly.

A bit of googling found someone with a similar problem who fixed it by unchecking 'Remove image' in the 'Ease of Access' settings.
