Printer Cannot Be Connected Over The Network

My printer and scanner has suddenly stopped working. When I try to print or scan, I get error messages saying 'Cannot Be Connected Over The Network'. I have tried several times, so the (Word) documents are piled up in the 'waiting to be printed' queue. I am using Windows 7, with a Wi-Fi printer/scanner that has worked perfectly until now. The computer and printer both show strong Wi-Fi signals. I have switched everything off and restarted, but this hasn't helped.

This has been fixed - a visiting teenager sorted it out in minutes.
Pity it wasn't a visiting 8-year-old. It would have been fixed within seconds then!

Too true!
what was the solution? I have the same problem with my brother printer.

I think it was to do with updating drivers, whatever that means! I'm afraid I just left the teenager to it.
it's the third time this has happened - and my nephew (early 20s!) sorted it out the first time and updated teh drivers.
The second time the man who came to fix my pc did it.
Third time unlucky!
