Windows 10 Upgrade

Hi .We have upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista and at first all was OK but now ,4 days later , we are having problems. All of the icons on our desk top have stopped working and likewise we have a folder with lots of short cuts and they have gone dead. The only way We can get on the net is to go to the Firefox icon in the tray which brings up Google.. How can I sort it please . Chris

I am a bit confused.

Your heading says Windows 10 upgrade, but the text says Windows 7 upgrade from Vista.

Can you clarify, and explain how you did the upgrade.

Also what type of device (desktop, laptop etc) and hardware details.

Upgraded to W 10 from Vista . Desktop Did the upgrade 'cause they asked if we wanted to so I said yes. After 3 weeks it told us to press continue so I pressed it! Was OK for 4 days, or so and everything seemed to be working except pass words , of course but now this has happened. If I go the control panel can I go back to a date a mont ago (forgotten what that's called LOL )
