Skype suddenly stopped working..... "Get Skype" app used to update
Download starts OK but just goes on and on and on so I just cant get to "Install"
Using Windows 10 on my HP laptop. Skype Help & Support is no help nor can I find a way of contacting them for support... Always found this answer bank site a gem for solving 'puter probs so fingers crossed.....

Windows 10 has a habit when UAC is required of putting a little flashing button on the task bar, instead of popping up a clearly visible window.
Double check that after you've started the download, there isn't a little flashing UAC button on the task bar. If there is, click to get the usual "Do you want to allow this program to make changes..." message.
