Keyboard Malfunction On Yahoo Mail

I have recently encountered a keyboard malfunction when typing emails in my Yahoo account. ie a delay in the appearance of characters on screen after typing or the keyboard does not respond at all.
My first thought was that the keyboard contacts needed cleaning, but this was dismissed when I discovered that there was no problem whatsoever when typing in Word mode or even on my gmail account.
Has anyone else encountered this strange phenomenon or suggest why this might be happening.

When you type a message into a web app (such as Yahoo, AB, gmail), the letter is sent to the web app, which then processes it and displays it. If you are getting delays, they are more likely related to either your Internet connection, or the web site, itself.
In your case, you say that you have no problem on gmail, so the most likely explanation is with Yahoo's site.
