Small Screen Big Screen

I'm on Internet Explorer and every time I open anything it comes up in a small window . I want in in a full window , by default , . How do I do this ,please . Chris

Open the IE8 and size the window to your liking. Then hold down the CTRL key while clicking the “X” to close the program. This will set the IE window to open at this setting every time.

I find just resizing the window then selecting the X to close it works for me (I am on W7)

When I reopen IE it is at the size when I last closed it.

to be honest this was the cure given to me and it worked I haven't tried it without the CTRL key lol - best thing is to try both ways and see which one works. It might differ between versions of IE

Windows normally remembers how you've sized the window in any program (and then opens it at the same size the next time that you use that program) as long as you resize your windows by dragging its edges. (i.e. it DOESN'T work if you just use the 'Maximise' button).

So try dragging the edges of the IE window, to get it to fill the screen. Windows should then remember that setting in future.
