It might just be the nature of the keyboard that's fitted into your laptop. If so, there's probably nothing that you can do about it.
However your reference to touch-typing (rather than poking the keys one-by-one, as I'm doing now) suggests that you might be resting your palm on the touchpad. If so then, ideally, DON'T! (It's a well-known cause of problems with keyboard sensitivity).
However, if you find that you have to rest your palm on the touchpad, try reducing its sensitivity. (Settings > Devices > Mouse and Touchpad).
