I used to work for IBM and when I had one of their laptops at work I was told if you set the BIOS password there is no way of getting in to the computer if you forget it.
I seem to remember it said even IBM can get rid of the password for you.
Not sure if the same applies to the password on a Toshiba.

Surely, Cleggie, that would only work after getting into Windows, wouldn't it? Since C_P can't get that far, I can't see how it could work!
There are plenty of Youtube videos which show how to reset a BIOS password by using the jumpers. Such a technique might be worth a try but since it seems that a Toshiba 'supervisor password' comes BEFORE a 'BIOS password' in the security sequence, I'm not sure that it would work.
I have to admit that I've never heard of a 'supervisor password' before googling it but this suggests that it's an additional layer of security ON TOP of both BIOS and Windows passwords: http:// support .toshib a.com/s upport/ viewCon tentDet ail?soi d=10850 3
It looks like, unless you pay Toshiba to sort it out, you might not be able to find a solution:

Sorry!
