Browser Problem?
Quite often, when someone posts a video link, when I click Play I get sound but no vision. Just wondered if this could be because of my browser (Chrome).

So go to a random Youtube video and see if it plays with sound. If not, you'll find the mute button underneath the video, just to the left of the slider which lets you advance or rewind the video. (People often accidentally click on 'Mute' when using that slider).
Also check that you've not got the tab muted within Chrome. (As far as I know, it's similar to Firefox, where - when a video is playing - there's a mute button available on the right of the tab at the top of your page. It's easy to click on it by mistake when trying to open a new tab).

^^^ Also check that you've not got Chrome as a whole muted. With a Youtube video playing in Chrome, right-click on the speaker icon at the bottom right of your screen. (Not on the one underneath the Youtube video!). Select 'Open Volume Mixer'. One of the 'devices' listed will be Chrome. You can adjust the volume level for it there, independently of all other volume settings. Further, there's a mute option below the slider. Make sure that it hasn't been enabled.

Oops!
I'm not having a good night, am I?
That sounds like a problem with Adobe Flash Player. Go to your list of installed programs and uninstall all references to Adobe Flash. RESTART YOUR COMPUTER. (That's in capitals because it's IMPORTANT!). Then reinstall Adobe Flash Player from here:

I think I may have accidentally cracked it. When I play the link @ 00.53 on the thread below I get sound but no picture. When I play it of Firefox I get both, so from now on I shall keep Firefox in reserve for You Tube links.
