Can't Create New Folder On Desktop
I appear to have lost the ability to right click on an empty area of my desktop to bring up the menu which includes the New ¦ Folder option.
Is there a simple way to restore this please? I don't particularly want to get invovled in registry tweaks, which I don't fully understand but which seem to be suggested if I do a Google search for the problem.

Since it's a registry fault which is causing your problem, you'll have to do a 'registry tweak' but, fortunately, there's a script available to so the job for you (so you don't need to do anything complicated yourself). Download this file to your desktop:...
