Software Updates Etc.

I think I need to give up on web searches coming up with anything even remotely connected with what I ask in the box.
My woman is concerned that she has been warned that she has used over 3 Gb of data today and near her limit when she has done next to nothing on the PC.
I wanted to give instructions on looking at the list of updates that may have been automatically downloaded, but I don't know where to find that list in Windows 10. Anyone know where it is ?
Or indeed anyone know why a Internet account would suddenly jump up to a ridiculous amount show in a morning ?
TIA

How about recent downloads that were not updates ?
I know I uninstalled her AVG and reinstalled a new downloaded one over the weekend (because she had somehow ticked for the darned trial and it's continual pop-ups saying it was now over was getting on my nerves and when it finally decided to pop up half on the window and half off and not move that was it. It had to go.)
Probably clutching at straws but was I am wondering if there was anything unintentionally downloaded with it that should be removed. (In fact I was must unpleased when I downloaded it first, then uninstalled the existing, then installed the new only to find it had not downloaded the new at all, but had a huge laugh only downloading some loader programme that then wasted time, while the PC wasn't protected, downloading what it should have already downloaded earlier ! And then, as I recall, more downloading part way through the installation. I don't know why these companies go out of their way to make things difficult all the time, more and more.)

Thanks for the suggestion. She has her PC off now and I'm trying to monitor the usage figures on her account for a while. We'll check that out in about an hour or so.
But after this morning's debacle it looks certain she'll end up paying for extra data because she isn't likely to go the rest of the month using just 500Mb ! Something seems to have been stealing it.

Could be a lot of Windows apps are using the data - you can restrict them, see here http:// www.gro ovypost .com/ho wto/man age-win dows-10 -data-u sage/
you say you removed avg,did you use the avg removal app http:// www.avg .com/gb -en/uti lities avg leaves lot's of stuff behind.
Just allowed an update on my PC which took an age to go in. Now trying to cope/accustomise myself with the differences. And it isn't clear where to go to see the size of downloaded items; even the screens I do find seem less simple than they used to be with downloads sorted into blocks.
It's possible an appalling decision by MS to have a patch the size of a third of an individual's monthly allowance (causing certain 'extra spend' that month) might be the cause, but I'm still trying to find evidence.
