Spam And Not Spam
8 Answers
I'm a member of a local google group. Whenever I receive an email from one particular person within the group, it goes into my Spam folder; this doesn't happen with messages sent from anyone else within the group. I've tried marking it as Not Spam, and also adding the particular name to my Contacts list, but it's still happening. Using PC, Windows 7 and Chrome. Any suggestions, please?

I'm guessing that the relevant group member has an IP address which has previously been associated with spam and now all email coming from that address is likely to be labelled as such.
If so, the only solution would seem to be to get the person to change their IP address. All they would normally need to do to achieve that would be to disconnect their router from their phone line, wait one minute and then reconnect it.

Thanks, everyone. I use the Not Spam button every time, but it's made no difference, OldBather. The email address is googlegroups.com, Ellipsis. I'll ask her if she will change the IP address, Buenchico; I think you're almost certainly right, as I suspect I must have left that individual box checked when I was marking others as Spam; but I'd hoped that Not Spam would have reversed it. Nothing so simple, obviously!
