2 To 1 ...
I have a PC connected to a 15" monitor. A friend has given me his. Is there a means of connecting both PCs to the single monitor?
I have zero knowledge of electrics & connections, exacerbated now by this relative challenge. Perhaps, one can use a Y-cable connecting the two PCs to the monitor, which will display the GUI of whatever PC OS is running - is this possible?
Thank you.

It should have (at least) VGA and DVI and possibly HDMI - so just use a separate one for each of the PCs and the monitor should switch automatically to the one currently in use. The best quality will be from the digital inputs, so use those if possible.
