last night i could not close my new asus laptop by left clicking mouse in bottom left corner, no option to close down or anything else appeared, including the page of apps or whatever it is that appears on the left of screen. i'm using W 10 by the way, so i've obviously touched or clicked something i shouldn't have but can any of you people tell me how to get things back to normal? thanks
Is the 'taskbar' showing? If not, try right clicking on the desktop and select 'personalize' scroll down and select taskbar and switch off any 'hide' functions. Also try pressing the Windows logo key on your keyboard
hi slack alice, ive checked what you suggested but theres no change.the task bar is still there, pushing the windows key does nothing and when you hover over the windows logo it changes from white to blue but nothing happens when you left click it. also left clicking any other icon on the task bar performs as it should. any other advice? please
Not your fault. W 10 changed things in one of their recent updates. You now need to right click on the Windows icon, bottom left. This brings up a menu, shut down is second from bottom. Hovering over that you get a sub-menu. Left click on the appropriate option.
left clicking the windows icon does absolutely nothing whatsoever.any ideas how i get the page back that was appearing from the left yesterday afternoon?
