Pc Not Always Booting
Evening all,
Have a 4year old Lenovo all in one PC, basic specs are 1Tb HD, 8Gb ram, Intel i5 processor, W10 Home.Since the 8th April (been keeping a log) on the odd occasion the PC fails to boot (every 2 to 3 days). I then have to switch off using the power button, leave for about 30 secs then start again and all then seems fine.Could this be a sign that something worse is going to happen or should I not worry about it ? I have checked for viruses etc, and the HD has plenty of space left - I have only used about 10% of its capacity. Any info/help would be greatly appreciated.

Click Start
Click Settings
Click Update & Security
Click Recovery
Under Advanced Startup, click Restart Now
Click Troubleshoot
Click Advanced Options
Click Startup Repair
Select your account (if necessary)
Type your account password (if necessary)
Click Continue
If there's a problem with your Startup files, it should be fixed. If you see "Start Repair couldn't repair your PC", it means that no problem was detected.
Then, irrespective of whether a problem was detected by the above, run a disk check as well:
Click Start
Type cmd in the search box.
In the results field above, RIGHT-click on cmd and select Run As Administrator
Then, assuming that your hard drive is Drive D on your computer, type CHKDSK d: /f (NB: There's a space in there after the K and another one after the colon)
Hit Enter
Click Start
Click Settings
Click Update & Security
Click Recovery

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N) Y
This volume will be checked the next time the system restarts.
Will update you as and when.
Hymie : nothing appears on the screen although I can hear the HD whirring.
OG : Please see update below.
CAC : Time is fine, no error messages.
Chair : According to "Update and security" in settings I am up to date .
