Android Closing Programmes

Just wondering...

Since the last Android update I find all my programmes that were running in the background are getting closed. I tap on the 3 vertical bars and expect to see, say, 6 things running to choose from and I see none, or maybe the one that was in the foreground only. Is anyone else experiencing this ? Anyone know why it's occurring ? It's very annoying, that's for sure.

Interesting, Chris, but unconvinced it's a lack of memory. It has plenty free, and the lot close at once now, and prior to the system update all were fine staying on. I think that the system update has messed something up.
