Outlook Account
I have an Outlook Account for emails with a Hotmail address but am getting a message that my account details are out of date. I am not able to access emails. This is only happening on my laptop (Windows 10) but not on my phone.
When I press Learn More and Fix Account it says Attention Required and Fixing Account but it just keeps swirling and ends up with a message that it can't be done. There's a triangle with an exclamation mark inside at the side. I have tried Settings and Manage Accounts but am getting nowhere! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is in your laptop settings somewhere then Ellie, as you say if you are "done in" with it then wait until you are ready to try again. I have a feeling that if the laptop is trying to finalise an upgrade or waiting for a clean reboot that it will sort itself when it is satisfied with conditions.

Are you sure that you have entered the correct password on the laptop?
If so you may have to look in the mailbox sync settings.
You will need to go into settings via the windows icon bottom left on screen or via the windows key on the keyboard. Then click the cogwheel, then click on "accounts", then click on the account that you want to access. This should bring up a grey box that says manage. Click in manage. You then should get a panel that has a heading "Change mailbox sync settings" click on this. make sure that all the toggles are clicked on. and if you have an advanced settings option go in there and click requires SSL for both incoming and outgoing mail then done and save. You may not get the advanced option as it depends on the email account and whether you have a microsoft account as well.

Blue circle? Do you mean that it is trying to load. Switch off, remove, the mouse, any usb sticks, external speakers or keyboards etc. etc. and reboot. You can also try clearing your cache and browsing history. Do you know whether the laptop has had, or tried to, a system upgrade or patch install? Plus is your phone using a mobile network and the laptop a router and wifi?
