Canon Mb2350 Problem

The first inch or so of an image on an A4 sheet is printing with a feint red colour. it improves on the second printing, wasting both ink & paper.
I'm using genuine canon inks & photoshop, any ideas out there please?

That reads as if the print heads are partially blocked. Cleaning them ought to fix the problem:

Chris, I've been an hour & got nowhere. It seems so complicated just to clean the print head. Do I need to install an app called canon IJ printer utility would you know?
I would have thought the printer itself should have such a facility

If you installed all the default software that came with your printer, Canon IJ Print Utility will probably already be there. Try looking under Start > Canon Utilities.

If not, you should be able to get to the head cleaning option via the following route anyway:

Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.

Click on 'Canon MB2300 Series Printer' and then on 'Manage'.

Click 'Printer Preferences' and then on the 'Maintenance' tab.
