Appreciate it's probably a long shot but, anyone know of a good free viewer app for .reality files ?

A family member received one from another family member and there seems no way to view it on an Android phone.

I did check Play Store but the only likely one claimed to be taking me on a tour of the app, then immediately demanded camera access ! A viewer needs no camera access, so it went tout de suite.

Have been to both those sites, thanks. The first doesn't seem to say how to view at all. The second apparently needs a couple of billion 'switches' clicked because it utterly fails to realise that there is no legitimate interest in spying on someone.

(I had tried AR Viewer (Augmented Reality) app, but got no further than the camera demand.)

I think I gave up last time when it just closed after switching them all, but it seems to have remained open this time. Problem is, the file is in WhatsApp, not downloaded as such, so I'll have to work out how to extract it in order to upload it. Cheers.

Rather sad. Finally found the attached file by searching the whole phone. Copied it elsewhere where I could get to it. Used the site to upload it. All it ever says is, "no preview available". Didn't want a preview, wanted to see it. There is a star thing to show how good your experience was, but having clicked the minimum 1 star, it seems to ignore it.

Thanks for the suggestion but, I'm still searching. The daft thing is that it probably ain't that important, it's just a bit frustrating.

To the best of my knowledge (supported by quite a bit of googling), files in the .reality format can only be viewed on an Apple device. (Sorry!)
