I used read request recipt on a couple of my composed emails, but now i want it off,

Can anyone tell me how to do this.

It would be helpful if you mentioned which e-mail client you use.
In Outlook Express, click Tools/Options, go to the Receipts tab, and uncheck the box "Request a read receipt for all sent messages".
