Laptop Help

I've purchased a laptop from currys a Packard Bell Easynote and when i turn it the screen turns blue and it says 'bad image checksum' 'the checksum dose'nt match the computer checksum' What is this all about. Help please.

Is it brand new? Has it ever booted up properly?

If it is new, contact Curry's straight away. This is not right.

If it is not so new, try booting up from the recovery disk that you should have had with the laptop.

Turn everything off. Put the disk in the cd drive and turn on.
