Tranferring all fils to disc

Could someone on answerbank advise me how to tranfer everything ie files and all my google talk as well to dics.

Open Windows Explorer.

Select 'My Documents'

Edit - Select All

File - Send to

And choose the CD or DVD drive

Do that with every folder and so on you want.

If you want to burn music to a disc the easiest way is to use software such as Nero, Roxio or even the Windows Media Player that is free with Windows.

Thankyou Ethel,I have got Roxio but havn't used it to record records yet,it was just I wanted to take a load of stuff of my computer but didn't know hoqw much I had and how much to put onto disc.

I've just had a look at Windows Media Player, and the Burn tab in particular.

You click the tracks you want to burn, and the burn list list shows a total time.

One cd = 80 minutes, so keep the total time to just under.

Don't forget to put the tracks in the right order of play!.

one blank CD will take 650 or 700 MB of data, depending on type (most are 700MB now) - it will say on disc/packaging

If you have a DVD writer, a normal DVD will take 4.7GB, or a dual layer about 9GB
