iTunes / import files ...

Please god can someone tell me why, when I import MP3 albums in to itunes (latest version downloaded today) does it split up the albums in odd tracks here and there ... its driving me nuts !

MP3s coming from hard drive not CD's
Have tried doing import folder & also import file but still the same ...

It'll be split up if there are wrong spellings somewhere.

How are they being split up? Different artists/album names?

Also, use file->add to library to import the mp3's, or just drag them into iTunes.

I am ending up with lots of albums with the same title and each one has several of the tracks from the folder ...

Do all the albums have exactly the same title? Try highlighting all the albums you get, right-clicking all those songs and click 'get info', then make sure they all have the same album title.
