We have a game loaded on the family PC, and would like to put it on our new laptop. We don't have access to the disc.
I can find the game folder in program files.
Can I just copy that folder to a CD and put it in the same place on the laptop, or is there more to it?

There's usually more to do; they tend to put files all over. You could try it, but I wouldn't expect it to work. You really need the disc.
Whats the game?

If you dont need the cd to run it it may work

Zuma Deluxe.

As long as I shouldn't damage anything I'll try tomorrow and see if it works.
If its a windows operating system, just copying the files will not put anything into the registry, so unless its a one file dos program Windows won't know what to do.
Zuma Deluxe is readily available for download from various websites and is not usually distributed via disk.
Why not just download it again from wherever you did so in the first instance and apply the code which you should have.

Thanks for all your advice.

Originally it came from the disc of one of my son's friends, but they are not so close now so he doesn't want to ask again.

The free downloads appear to be demo versions. It is not important enough for me to buy it, I just thought I would transfer it if it was easy. I suspected it wouldn't be.
